This role supports content across the full cancer journey, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. The position calls for a licensed oncology RN who can combine clinical judgment with strong editorial skills to keep information current, clear, and practical for readers with different literacy levels.
The work is important to the organization’s mission, reputation, compliance, and risk management. This is a fully remote position and may be performed from anywhere in the United States.
What You Will Do

- Improve readability by applying health literacy, adult learning, and health equity principles to medical content.
- Use data reports to manage assigned print patient education projects and coordinate with inventory staff and external vendors.
- Protect editorial quality by following accessibility standards, internal messaging rules, and established policies and workflows.
- Support responses to cancer-related questions escalated from helpline and customer experience teams when needed.
- Act as a clinical resource and collaborator for mission-driven initiatives, partnerships, special projects, and content review needs.
Experience and Qualifications

- Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- An active, unrestricted RN license is required.
- Oncology certification such as OCN or AOCN, or eligibility to sit for the exam, is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate understands oncology care and evidence-based medicine across the full continuum, including cancer risk, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life issues. Experience should include administering cancer therapies, educating patients in writing and verbally, and managing treatment side effects. Strong familiarity with current oncology trends, health policy, and public health issues is important.
The role also requires the ability to conduct literature searches and turn findings into practical content. Candidates should be able to explain complex medical information in plain language, use AMA style correctly, and work with awareness of how AI and SEO can affect medical content. Strong organization, attention to detail, project follow-through, creativity, and cross-functional communication are essential.
