Role overview

Little Harvard Maynooth is seeking a seasoned Assistant Manager to work alongside the Centre Manager in running its early years childcare centre in Maynooth, County Kildare. This is a permanent, full-time position focused on supporting day-to-day centre leadership and maintaining a high standard of care and compliance.

Key duties

• Work closely with the Centre Manager to keep daily centre operations running smoothly.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and leadership to the team.
• Help ensure the centre meets Tusla, ECCE, and other relevant regulatory standards.
• Develop positive, trusting relationships with families.
• Support administrative tasks, rotas, audits, and curriculum planning.
• Take on leadership responsibilities whenever required.

Candidate profile

• At least a Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education; a Level 7 or higher qualification is considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in a leadership role or as a senior educator.
• Good working knowledge of Aistear, Síolta, and current best practice in early years education.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organisational abilities.
• Calm, proactive, and self-assured approach in a fast-paced setting.
