Role Overview

The company is hiring an AI Architect for its Sydney location. This position is a contract / FTC role.

Technical Expertise Needed

The ideal candidate should bring strong capability in machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, and generative AI. Hands-on experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic AI frameworks is also important.

You should be comfortable programming in Python, Java, or similar languages, and have exposure to cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Familiarity with AI and ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch is expected, along with knowledge of data engineering, data platforms, and big data tooling.

Experience in MLOps or LLMOps pipelines, including CI/CD practices, is part of the technical expectation.

Architecture and Engineering

This role also requires experience in enterprise architecture and system design. The candidate should understand microservices, APIs, distributed systems, DevOps practices, and containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Business and Consulting Skills

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential. The person in this role should be able to convert business problems into AI-driven solutions while balancing cost, risk, and performance considerations.
