About the internship
This 6-month in-office internship at One Root in Bangalore is focused on B2B sales and business growth for the company’s spices and agricultural commodities vertical. The role is designed for someone who is comfortable working with prospects, handling client conversations, and supporting market expansion efforts across domestic and international markets.
About the company
One Root (ENP Farms Private Limited) operates as a transparent and traceable marketplace that enables farmers to sell produce directly to institutional and enterprise buyers. By removing intermediaries, the platform aims to improve pricing fairness, increase farmer earnings, and give growers greater control over the value of their crops. Buyers, in turn, can source directly from farmers at more competitive prices. The company is also building a large network of smallholder and marginal farmers in India and supports them through farm advisory, market access, financial help, and access to government schemes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop B2B leads and spot fresh business opportunities for the spices and agricultural commodities business.
- Reach out to potential buyers such as distributors, wholesalers, retailers, exporters, importers, food manufacturers, and institutional clients.
- Study the market to understand customer needs, industry movements, and competitor activity.
- Communicate with prospects through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other professional networking channels.
- Maintain healthy relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Support the creation of proposals, presentations, quotations, and business pitches.
- Keep lead lists, sales funnels, and CRM information accurate and up to date.
- Work with procurement and operations teams to align product supply with customer expectations.
- Assist with business development efforts in both Indian and overseas markets.
- Work toward lead-generation and business-growth targets set by the company.
Eligibility and requirements
Applicants should be available for a full-time, in-office internship and be able to begin between 27 June 2026 and 1 August 2026. The internship runs for 6 months. Candidates with relevant skills and interest are preferred, and women looking to start or restart their careers are welcome to apply.
Ideal candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, or a related discipline. Strong communication, negotiation, and people skills are important, along with confidence in speaking with clients and business stakeholders. A basic grasp of sales, business development, and B2B marketing is expected. Familiarity with MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM tools will be useful. The role suits someone who is self-driven, target-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in agriculture, spices, import-export, or commodity trading.
Compensation and perks
The internship offers a stipend of INR 10,000 to 15,000 per month. Additional benefits include a certificate, a letter of recommendation, and an informal dress code.
