Role Overview
As a Web Application Engineer, you will help customers adopt Google Cloud Platform services by offering strong technical direction, practical implementation advice, and architecture guidance. The role focuses on secure cloud foundations, automated infrastructure and application setup, cloud-ready design patterns, and support across the full application lifecycle in Google Cloud.
You will also partner with Product Management and Product Engineering to improve Google Cloud products and features, while helping customers modernize, build, migrate, and maintain applications on the platform.
Google Cloud supports organizations across the world with enterprise-grade technology and developer-focused tools that help businesses transform and grow sustainably.
Location Preference
Applicants may indicate a preferred work location from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India or Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or comparable hands-on professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience using one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with a public cloud platform such as Google Cloud Platform.
- Practical experience with Angular.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Platform certification or another recognized cloud certification.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams spread across different geographies, as well as with customers, channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization concepts in web applications.
- Awareness of the cloud marketplace and how different cloud offerings compare.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply emerging tools, technologies, methods, and solutions in the cloud and IT space.
Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and support web applications running on cloud infrastructure.
- Partner with product managers, technical leads, and developers to deliver web application implementations.
- Work in a cross-functional environment to create solutions aligned with changing business requirements.
- Interpret customer needs and convert them into working web application features.
- Use cloud platforms to deploy and operate web applications effectively.
