About the Role

Ethos is hiring a Video Editor to join its Creative & Brand team. This position supports the launch and growth of new product lines, including IUL and annuities, by creating short-form performance content for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. The work centers on turning UGC, influencer clips, and stock footage into engaging assets that make complex financial products easy to understand and compelling to act on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Turn raw footage into polished direct-response video ads with strong pacing, transitions, captions, graphics, and sound design tailored for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Rework creative for different platforms so each video matches the format, style, captioning, and tone expected on that channel.
  • Develop and edit longer-form YouTube content using b-roll and materials from the internal asset library.
  • Improve influencer allowlisting and UGC-driven videos to support ROAS objectives.
  • Translate detailed product messaging into short-form stories that make new financial products feel approachable and easy to grasp.
  • Produce a high volume of work from briefs, while also contributing fresh concepts, storyboards, and new creative directions when needed.
  • Track trends in editing, content style, and paid social formats, then bring relevant ideas back to the team.
  • Partner with paid social strategists, influencer managers, and other stakeholders to align creative decisions with performance insights.

Requirements

  • Solid working knowledge of Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, including what tends to perform well on each platform.
  • Hands-on experience editing creator-led content so it feels natural to the platform and is optimized to convert.
  • Good understanding of paid social best practices, including hooks, ad formats, and direct-response principles.
  • Prior work on complex or high-consideration products is a plus, especially where editing has to carry more of the narrative.
  • Strong grasp of design fundamentals such as typography, color, and composition.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation.
  • Comfort using Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, Figma, and Frame.io.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time role in the United States is $105,000 to $185,000 per year.
