About the role
The UX Design Intern will partner with the product design team to assist across the full design cycle for important product initiatives. The internship provides hands-on exposure to user research, interaction design, and collaboration with other teams in a fast-moving product environment.
This is an unpaid internship designed for learning and professional growth. Academic credit can be arranged if it applies. The employer encourages undergraduate students to apply.
The position is based in the Bellevue, Washington office and requires onsite work.
Key responsibilities
- Help shape product features from early discovery through final delivery by creating wireframes, user flows, and polished prototypes.
- Support user research planning and execution, including interviews, usability sessions, and synthesizing insights.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the Armada AI design system.
- Work with product managers and engineers to make sure the intended design is implemented correctly.
- Take part in design critiques, reviews, and cross-functional planning discussions.
- Record design choices and explain the reasoning clearly to stakeholders.
Required qualifications
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a similar field.
- A portfolio that shows UX thinking and problem-solving across one or more projects.
- Working knowledge of Figma or a similar design and prototyping tool.
- Understanding of user research methods and usability best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas to varied teams.
- Ability to handle several tasks at once and adjust to shifting priorities.
