Job Purpose
The Timekeeper supports site operations by keeping precise records of employee attendance, hours worked, overtime, leave, and manpower distribution. The role plays a key part in ensuring payroll data is accurate and submitted on time, while also producing dependable manpower reports that help project teams manage execution effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and record daily attendance for all staff members, laborers, and subcontracted workers.
- Keep detailed logs of regular hours, overtime, night duties, weekend work, and work performed on public holidays.
- Compile daily manpower summaries and share them with site management.
- Cross-check timesheets with site attendance logs and supervisor approvals.
- Work with supervisors to identify and resolve attendance mismatches.
- Maintain records for leave, absences, sick leave, and shift rosters.
- Provide correct attendance information to the payroll team within the assigned deadlines.
- Track manpower distribution across work areas and job activities.
- Organize both digital and physical attendance documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on attendance and manpower.
- Ensure all records and processes align with company rules, client expectations, and labor regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by supplying attendance-related documents when needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school or an equivalent qualification is required; a diploma in Business Administration or a similar discipline is considered beneficial.
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience in a Timekeeper role within construction, engineering, or industrial environments.
- Prior experience handling large workforces and subcontractor attendance is preferred.
Required Skills
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of timekeeping and payroll software.
- High level of numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Well-developed organization and documentation skills.
- Clear communication and coordination abilities.
- Capacity to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Basic understanding of labor regulations and construction site procedures.
