Opportunity
Join the Digital Te Au Reka team and provide technical direction across products and services that support the justice system. Working closely with service managers, architects, vendors, and delivery teams, you will help define product direction, encourage ongoing improvement, and keep digital services secure, dependable, and high performing for New Zealanders.
What you will do
- Guide technical teams to deliver robust, high-quality outcomes.
- Influence product direction and support planning for future development.
- Ensure services remain secure, dependable, and able to scale.
- Work in partnership with stakeholders, suppliers, and technical specialists.
- Champion continuous improvement and help resolve incidents.
Skills and experience needed

- Strong senior-level application engineering background.
- Experience leading Agile development and testing groups.
- Ability to design solutions that align with architectural standards.
- Practical experience with CI/CD and DevOps methods.
- Working knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it applies in practice.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant area, or equivalent professional experience.

Salary
The salary range for this position is $118,904 to $153,402, depending on skills and experience.
