Role overview
We are looking for a TBM Operator (EPB) to handle tunnel boring machine assembly, commissioning, operation, and ongoing monitoring at the Patna site.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the team to assemble the tunnel boring machine and get it ready for use.
- Operate the TBM after assembly is completed and support the commissioning process with the mechanical, electrical, and PLC teams.
- Run the TBM while maintaining tunnel line and grade, and oversee grouting system operations.
- Inspect gaps, lips, and steps during ring building.
- Guide TBM movement using the VMT guidance system.
- Plan and coordinate weekly, monthly, and yearly machine maintenance activities.
- Respond to mechanical breakdowns in the TBM and raise issues along with the required scope of work.
- Track TBM operating parameters and record shift-wise, daily, and progress reports.
- Inspect the cutter head and tools during operation and take control during emergency situations inside the TBM.
Additional information
This role is based in Patna, Bihar, India and is a full-time, on-site position.
