System Administrator

Job summary

Marina Home Interiors is seeking an IT System Administrator to keep its technology environment stable, secure, and efficient across corporate offices, retail showrooms, warehouses, and regional sites. This role is central to business continuity and covers server administration, networking, cloud services, retail technology, cybersecurity safeguards, and day-to-day end-user assistance.

The ideal candidate will take a proactive approach to monitoring systems, resolving incidents, improving infrastructure performance, and introducing practical technology improvements while working in line with company IT policies and accepted industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support the company’s core IT setup, including VMware environments, Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Veeam backup and disaster recovery, and Fortinet firewalls to maintain uptime, security, and continuity across multiple sites.
• Look after CCTV, Wi-Fi, Cisco telephony, and access control systems at different business locations.
• Administer and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and internet connectivity across the organization.
• Keep ERP platforms, POS systems, business applications, and other retail technology running smoothly and reliably.
• Deliver remote support to teams in offices, showrooms, warehouses, and regional locations using remote desktop tools, resolving hardware, software, network, and application issues quickly.
• Set up, maintain, and diagnose issues in routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network controllers.
• Support POS hardware, printers, scanners, and other connected peripherals.
• Carry out remote software and operating system installations, patching, configuration, and upgrades.
• Work with vendors or internal IT colleagues to escalate and track complex issues through to closure.
• Watch system health, bandwidth use, and network performance, and act early to prevent downtime or degradation.
• Provide desktop support, OS deployment, hardware upkeep, and general end-user troubleshooting.
• Keep IT asset registers, inventory records, and stock movement documentation accurate and up to date.

Requirements

• 5 to 6 years of UAE experience is mandatory.
• A monthly salary of AED 7,000 to AED 8,000 is offered for this role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field is required.
• CCNA/CCNP and MCSE certifications are required.
• AWS or Azure cloud administration certification will be considered an added advantage.
• Ability to provide a smooth user experience, especially in busy retail settings.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in interacting with non-technical users.
