Supply Chain Manager

Role overview

Recruitmark is working with an established, expanding business to find a seasoned Supply Chain Manager. This is a leadership role with real influence over both strategic planning and everyday execution across the global supply chain. You will help keep operations efficient, competitive, resilient, and commercially sustainable.

Reporting to senior management, you will take ownership of the full supply chain lifecycle, covering procurement, sourcing, stock control, warehousing, logistics, and supplier performance. The position is focused on improving operational effectiveness, building stronger supply chain resilience, and uncovering cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. You will partner closely with teams across the business to simplify workflows, improve resource planning, and foster supplier relationships that support growth and long-term business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement global procurement and supply chain plans that align with business growth, efficiency goals, and longer-term strategy.
• Oversee and improve end-to-end supply chain activities, including buying, sourcing, inventory control, logistics, and supplier management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers through sourcing strategy, vendor assessment, contract discussions, and performance tracking.
• Lead demand planning and inventory optimisation efforts to support service levels, product availability, and working capital across international operations.
• Work with Sales, Engineering, Production, Project Delivery, and Warehousing to ensure supply chain activities run smoothly and stay aligned to business needs.
• Drive ongoing improvement and cost-reduction initiatives using data, KPI monitoring, process redesign, and supply chain best practices.

Candidate profile

We are looking for someone with substantial experience in senior supply chain, procurement, or operations leadership roles in complex global environments. The right person will bring strong commercial judgement, negotiation ability, and a track record of improving cost and supplier performance.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior supply chain, procurement, or operations leadership position within a complex international organisation.
• Strong background in managing end-to-end procurement and international supply chains across multiple regions and markets.
• Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimisation.
• Solid understanding of international sourcing, logistics, customs rules, trade compliance, and overseas supplier coordination.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
• ERP system experience is needed; postgraduate study will be viewed favourably.
