Supply Chain Coordinator

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Supply Chain Coordinator focused on inventory and procurement support. The role is with a specialist distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) products and services, and it is based on site at a customer location in Carrigtwohill, County Cork. The position reports to the Site Operations Manager and involves hands-on support across stock, purchasing, supplier coordination, and customer service.

What you will do

• Keep fast-moving stock available on the customer site through regular replenishment.
• Support the Site Operations Manager with day-to-day requests and operational tasks.
• Prepare accurate quotations across a broad range of parts and products so the customer can operate efficiently.
• Handle routine customer queries and visit the customer site when needed.
• Source parts from suppliers and arrange collection from local vendors.
• Carry out general administrative duties for the on-site team.
• Maintain a consistently high standard of customer service.
• Manage customer orders from the initial enquiry stage through to delivery.
• Ensure purchase orders are entered into site systems and that goods, materials, and services are expedited to meet delivery targets.
• Produce and update management reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Work with Product Category Owners as required.
• Keep inventory records accurate within ERP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help maintain health and safety standards.
• Promote tidy, well-organised working practices.

Candidate profile

The client is looking for someone with strong knowledge of MRO and engineering consumables, along with practical purchasing, customer service, and stock control ability. The right person should be organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. A full Irish driving licence is essential.

Requirements

• A full Irish driving licence is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of MRO products and engineering consumables.
• Experience or capability in sales support and customer relationship development.
• Good negotiation and purchasing skills.
• Clear communication skills, with solid literacy and numeracy.
• Methodical, well organised, and able to work effectively within a fast-moving team environment.
• Working knowledge of stock management systems and confidence using Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail.
