About Toll Group

Toll Group is a global logistics, transport, and supply chain provider with a long history of helping customers move goods and solve complex operational challenges. With more than 16,000 people across 500 locations in 27 markets, the company supports over 20,000 customers worldwide and is part of Japan Post.

Role overview

Toll is hiring a Storeperson for its Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract, based at Palmer Barracks in South Guildford, Western Australia. This position supports warehouse operations that contribute directly to Australia’s Defence capability. The role sits within a site-based warehouse environment and reports through the operations structure, with day-to-day supervision from the Team Leader.

The Storeperson will help ensure that defence equipment, supplies, and materials are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched efficiently and in line with Government and Defence contractual obligations, Defence requirements, safety rules, and operational standards. A strong focus on accuracy, organisation, safe work practices, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace is essential. A current HR truck licence and forklift licence are required.

What you will do

In this role, you will support the DTL contract from an operational warehouse perspective and contribute to the smooth running of site activities. You will also assist with deliveries and forklift tasks when needed, and attend site meetings as required.

Working style and expectations

The role involves manual handling, including lifting and carrying items, so a good level of physical fitness is needed. You must also be committed to workplace health and safety and able to work effectively in a team-based, time-sensitive environment.

About Toll’s workplace

Toll promotes a collaborative and inclusive culture, with supportive leaders, opportunities to build a career across a global logistics network, and access to industry-leading training and development. The company encourages applicants who may not meet every requirement but have similar experience and a willingness to learn.

Eligibility and pre-employment checks

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain and maintain an Australian AGSVA Defence Security Clearance at Baseline level or above. Pre-employment screening will include criminal history checks, a medical assessment, and other background checks as needed.

How to apply

Submit a resume and a short cover letter explaining your experience and motivation for joining Toll.

Equal opportunity

Toll welcomes people of all ages, ethnicities, genders, and abilities.

Additional information

This opportunity is part of Toll’s Government and Defence portfolio and is intended to support national Defence operations. The company’s broader work spans food, fuel, medicine, rescue services, and other essential supply chain activities across the world.
