What You’ll Do

In this sterile processing role, you will handle the full cycle of instrument reprocessing, including cleaning, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of instruments according to department standards and procedures. You will also serve as a guide and support person for other team members by acting as a preceptor, mentor, and resource.

Minimum Qualifications

The role calls for a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior sterile processing certification is preferred, and hospital experience is also preferred.

Additional Information

The selected team member must obtain certification within 24 months of being hired. This position is based at BayCare Health System, Sterile Processing-SJH, located at St Josephs Main and Childrens.

Schedule and Work Details

This is a full-time, non-exempt position on Shift 2, with working hours from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Shift 2 corresponds to evenings. Weekend duty is scheduled every third weekend, and on-call availability is required. Remote work is not part of this role.
