Overview

Thiess is seeking a Serviceperson to join its Maintenance Team in the Greater Perth Area. This role sits on a 14/7 roster and suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, variety, and the opportunity to take on responsibility in a fast-paced mining environment. The position is connected to the Yilgarn Iron Ore Project, which covers the Koolyanobbing, Windarling, and Parker Range sites in the Yilgarn region. The region has a long mining history, is located within the Shires of Yilgarn and Menzies, and the ore is transported by rail to Esperance Port for export. The productive mining areas are situated on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.

What You Will Do

• Carry out servicing and repair work on tyre and track earthmoving equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance activities and repairs on off-highway machinery, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality standards in all tasks.
• Detect equipment issues during servicing and ensure they are repaired or escalated to the workshop or management as needed.
• Work effectively on your own while also contributing to team-based task delivery.

About You

• You bring prior experience as a Service Person in either a mining or workshop setting.
• You have operated on-highway service trucks before.
• You hold a current HR driver licence.
• You consistently demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• High Risk Work licences such as WP, LF, and Rigging are considered an advantage.
