About the Company
Our client is a compact but expanding midsize business operating within a global group in the healthcare sector. The company is well regarded in the market thanks to the quality of its products, the breadth of its portfolio, its solid financial base, and its continued growth.
The role is based in the Rhine-Main area, with Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany listed as the location.
Role Overview
This is a newly created position for a Senior Data Analyst / BI Developer who will take ownership of data preparation, reporting, and analytics to support operational decision-making and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the data preparation workflow, including ETL activities (extract, transform, load).
- Design, build, and maintain meaningful Power BI dashboards and reports to support day-to-day business control.
- Analyze data to uncover patterns and trends, then translate findings into practical recommendations that help move the business forward.
- Develop automated data pipelines for the Azure Data Lake environment.
- Prepare and present complex analyses in a way that is tailored to non-technical audiences.
- Build dependable working relationships with internal colleagues and external service providers, and collaborate effectively in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Ensure full adherence to the rules and standards of the Business Management System, including quality management and information security requirements aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking with technical BI expertise, a structured working style, and the ability to communicate clearly across IT and business functions.
Requirements
- A completed degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, or business administration with a quantitative focus, plus strong interest in IT and at least 3 to 5 years of professional experience.
- Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query / M-code, and star schema modeling, as well as solid SQL knowledge for data retrieval; SSRS/SSIS experience is part of the SQL stack mentioned.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- A proactive and solution-driven mindset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, enabling effective interaction between technical and business stakeholders.
- Awareness of data quality, disciplined documentation practices, and regulatory standards.
- Fluency in both German and English.
