The position suits someone who enjoys practical troubleshooting, independent work, and contributing to a highly secure environment.
What the role involves
You will be responsible for supporting, servicing, and maintaining Honeywell and third-party security systems across the EGRP facility. The job includes resolving faults, carrying out small project work, assisting with compliance activities, and helping ensure site operations remain safe, reliable, and well documented.
Key duties
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on Honeywell and other security equipment installed on site.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair issues affecting security head-end systems.
- Set up software for EBI security modules, DVM, ECAS, CCTV, and IP intercom systems.
- Deliver responsive technical support and customer service to onsite stakeholders.
- Keep site records, maintenance logs, and quality assurance documents accurate and up to date.
- Support small and medium security installation projects, including coordination of subcontractors where needed.
- Complete all tasks in line with safety standards, professional expectations, and contract obligations.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
- Take part in an after-hours callout roster when required.
Required qualifications and experience
Applicants should have a Security Installer Licence, ACMA Open Cabler Registration, and a Certificate III in Electronics & Communications or an equivalent trade qualification. Strong hands-on experience with electronic security systems is essential, along with well-developed fault-finding and diagnostic skills. The role also calls for the ability to work on your own, prioritise competing tasks, communicate clearly, and stay committed to safety and compliance.
Preferred background
Experience with Honeywell security platforms will be an advantage, as will previous work in secure, critical, or government settings.

This role comes with a competitive remuneration package and allowances, plus the stability of a long-term government contract. Honeywell also offers relocation support for candidates moving within Australia, access to its training pathways, and a supportive team culture. All tools, equipment, and uniforms are supplied.
