Role Overview
Klariti Learning is hiring an enthusiastic Scratch Programming Tutor to run live online coding sessions for children aged 6 to 12 years. The role is fully remote and focuses on making coding fun, interactive, and easy for young learners to understand.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead live virtual Scratch programming classes for children between 6 and 12 years old.
- Use hands-on activities and engaging projects to teach coding, including animations, games, storytelling projects, and interactive applications.
- Introduce core programming ideas such as sequences, events, loops, variables, conditionals, broadcasting, problem solving, and computational thinking.
- Monitor each student’s learning journey and share helpful feedback to support improvement.
- Maintain an upbeat, encouraging, and interactive classroom experience.
What We Are Looking For
- Good command of Scratch programming concepts.
- Strong spoken English and clear communication skills.
- Interest in teaching and a genuine ability to work well with children.
- Ability to explain coding ideas in a simple, child-friendly way.
- Previous teaching experience is an advantage, though it is not compulsory.
- Familiarity with online class platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet will be helpful.
Preferred Background
Candidates with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Education, or a closely related field are preferred. Experience teaching Scratch, Blockly, Python, or other beginner coding programmes is also desirable, especially in an online teaching setup.
