Role overview
City Centre Rotana in Doha is looking for a driven and energetic Sales Manager for its MICE segment. The role suits someone who is passionate about sales, values exceptional guest service, and can turn opportunities into meaningful business.
In this position, you will be responsible for building business in your assigned market area, putting sales plans into action, and helping the hotel achieve and surpass its commercial targets.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all incoming MICE requests for proposals coming through inbound or outbound sales offices within the assigned segment or portfolio.
- Put sales goals and action plans into practice with the aim of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Draft offer letters based on guest needs, availability, company standards, and the established selling approach.
- Collect all relevant event details from the account manager or directly from the client before preparing an offer.
- Increase revenue by suggesting additional events and activities that enhance the MICE booking.
- Maintain records for major accounts and support supervisors in keeping the account management system updated.
- Follow all Rotana sales policies and standard operating procedures consistently.
Education and experience
The ideal applicant should hold a degree in sales and have at least two years of post-graduation work experience, preferably in the hotel sector. Strong computer skills are required, along with polished presentation ability and excellent written and spoken communication in English. Any additional language will be considered an advantage.
