Position Overview
This is a permanent, full-time cashier role based at New Ambassador Hotel in Harare. The position sits within the food and beverage function and reports to the Food & Beverage Supervisor. The employer is seeking an appropriately qualified professional to join the restaurant team in an internal vacancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, respond to their questions, engage with them appropriately, and gather feedback about their dining experience.
- Oversee day-end bill reconciliations and make sure all charges have been accurately posted after the shift.
- Carry out cashiering duties for the restaurant.
- Be familiar with the hotel’s emergency procedures and act in line with them when needed.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
- Working knowledge of the Micros system.
- Between 2 and 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong planning ability and a customer service mindset.
- Capable of working with limited supervision.
- Good time management skills.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound commercial awareness and business understanding.
- Very strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
