About the Role

An opportunity is available for a Reservations Agent to become part of the team. In this position, you will be the first person guests connect with for bedroom bookings and related enquiries, while also helping promote additional revenue opportunities across the estate.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, this role requires a warm, polished and professional approach at all times. You will handle guest booking enquiries, support accurate reservations, and help ensure guests receive clear information and excellent service before arrival.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee guest bookings and make sure requests and preferences are handled to a high standard.
  • Share information about hotel facilities and pricing, while maintaining strong and accurate billing practices.
  • Promote estate amenities and encourage additional sales where appropriate.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest comments and feedback.
  • Set correct expectations for guests in advance of their stay.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a comparable reservations or front office position; experience with Opera is a plus.
  • Strong customer service ability and solid IT proficiency.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and managing busy situations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Experience using Opera, Marsha, or another PMS platform is an advantage.
