Job Overview
The Research Assistant supports protocol compliance and contributes to the overall clinical goals of the study. This position follows FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and company standard operating procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare source documents for study visits.
- Take vital signs, complete ECGs, and perform phlebotomy.
- Enter data from patient visits.
- Track and maintain lab kit inventory.
- Ship specimens and complete specimen processing.
- Complete protocol-related training as assigned.
- Handle routine office work such as filing, copying, and scanning.
- Carry out additional duties as needed to support the organization’s changing priorities and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, GCP, and ICH guidelines is needed.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology is important.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others are expected.
- High attention to detail is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Must be available to work a night shift.
