Overview
This contract opportunity is for a remote Operational Procurement Coordinator supporting a global beverage organization. The role is suited to someone who enjoys supply chain coordination, resolving order issues, and keeping vendors aligned to delivery and process expectations.
Compensation and schedule
The pay rate is $32.36 per hour. This is a full-time contract role scheduled for first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates in the East Coast or Central time zones.
What you will handle
- Track open service-parts purchase orders and follow up on order confirmations, shipping dates, and carrier tracking details.
- Work with suppliers in a professional, tactful way to encourage timely responses and adherence to process requirements.
- Use ERP tools to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve urgent part shortages.
- Help reduce risk and backorders by finding alternate or backup supply sources when needed.
What you should bring
- Strong, practical experience working in SAP ERP to research issues, troubleshoot, and generate reports.
- Three to five or more years of experience in procurement or parts management, ideally in an industrial, MRO, or service-parts setting.
- At least an associate degree; a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to work on a bring-your-own-device basis with a dependable personal laptop.
- Excellent communication skills, a persuasive but diplomatic approach to supplier follow-up, and strong Excel capability.
