The Governance, Risk & Compliance Services practice helps organizations strengthen corporate governance, manage risk, and meet compliance expectations in increasingly transparent and heavily regulated environments.
Role Overview
This position sits within the External EMEA reporting team and is focused on delivering complex regulatory calculations, maintaining reporting accuracy, and upholding compliance standards across several EMEA jurisdictions. The role operates in a fast-moving, multi-site setting that includes Mumbai, London, Frankfurt, and Paris. It calls for strong analytical ability, sharp attention to detail, and clear communication across cultures and time zones.
The selected candidate will help strengthen the regulatory reporting framework while supporting broader compliance and risk management objectives. The role offers exposure to advanced regulatory frameworks and international banking operations, creating a strong foundation for growth in financial services.
Key Responsibilities
The position involves the preparation and review of critical capital adequacy measures under the Basel III framework, along with related regulatory reporting work. Core activities include standardized approach calculations for counterparty credit risk, market risk, settlement risk, and capital deduction validation.
Additional responsibilities include delivering COREP reporting outputs for EMEA entities, handling management requests and queries, performing RWA movement analysis, and working closely with the Risk Management team to confirm the accuracy of inputs.
Skills and Experience Needed
Applicants should have experience or strong working knowledge in regulatory reporting within financial services, along with capital markets awareness. The role requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, meet strict deadlines, and produce accurate reports within agreed timelines.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, able to resolve issues by coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and comfortable working with limited supervision. Prior exposure to regulatory reporting in investment banking is preferred, along with an understanding of financial products.
On the technical side, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential, together with the ability to learn finance-specific systems quickly. A curious, questioning mindset and familiarity with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Excel VBA macros, and SQL are advantageous, as is the ability to self-learn similar modern technology tools.
