QA/QC Engineer

Overview

The hiring team is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer for a client assignment in Doha, Qatar. The role centers on maintaining project quality across MEP and civil works, ensuring all documentation, inspections, and execution activities align with project requirements, client expectations, and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and put into practice Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements.
• Examine project drawings, specifications, and quality-related requirements to confirm compliance.
• Carry out inspections for Mechanical, Electrical, ELV, and Civil works.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and detailed quality reports.
• Track adherence to project specifications, client standards, and relevant codes and regulations.
• Handle NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and drive corrective as well as preventive actions.
• Work closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams during inspection activities.
• Check testing and commissioning work and keep quality documentation up to date.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001 and the project quality management system.
• Contribute to handover documents and final close-out processes.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have 5 to 8 years of QA/QC experience in MEP construction projects, including at least 2 to 3 years in Data Centers, Mission-Critical Facilities, Industrial Projects, or large-scale MEP developments. A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required. Professional certifications such as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, CQI, or other relevant QA/QC credentials are preferred.
