About Altus
Altus is building an AI-led platform to remove repetitive administrative project work through intelligent automation, helping teams spend more time on meaningful work. Its Microsoft 365-based Project Portfolio Management platform is expanding quickly, with a goal of becoming the leading agentic enterprise work management solution powered by AI.
This role offers the chance to join an Australian technology company at an important moment: the enterprise work management space is being reshaped by AI, and Altus aims to lead that change globally. In this position, you will influence what the product becomes, why it is prioritised, and how customers and the market understand its value. You will also carry direct responsibility for commercial performance, customer uptake, and long-term product direction.
Why you’ll want to join
- Contribute to a rapidly expanding global platform built on Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform.
- Work with modern Microsoft AI capabilities such as Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Dataverse MCP, and Power Platform agents.
- Enjoy genuine flexibility with no required office days, and choose the setup that works best for you.
- Receive weekly pay for more consistent cash flow.
- Access up to four months of paid parental leave for primary carers.
- Use the BYOD arrangement and claim reimbursement for mobile expenses.
- Benefit from mentorship, growth pathways, and ongoing learning opportunities.
- Be part of an open, transparent, and collaborative culture.
- Work in a diverse and inclusive environment where respectful treatment and equal opportunity are expected.
- Enjoy additional benefits such as food, drinks, discounts, and other extras.
The opportunity
As Product Manager, you will take full ownership of a key Altus product line from vision and roadmap through to go-to-market and commercial results. The role calls for an AI-first product mindset, direct engagement with customers and partners around the world, and accountability for outcomes such as adoption, revenue retention, and delivery of new capabilities.
PPM expertise is essential
This is not a broad generalist product role. Strong, practical knowledge of project, programme, and portfolio management is mandatory. You must be able to communicate with PMO Directors, Portfolio Managers, and Project Managers in a way that clearly shows real credibility and domain understanding.
Key responsibilities
- Define and steer product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring each decision supports customer value and Altus’s growth goals.
- Run ongoing discovery with customers and partners to turn enterprise PPM pain points into well-formed problem statements and validated product choices.
- Use AI prototyping tools such as Claude and Copilot Studio to create early proofs of concept and reduce technical risk before development begins.
- Own time-to-value and adoption of core features throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to keep everyone aligned on outcomes.
- Oversee commercial performance for the product line, including ARR, expansion revenue, churn risk, and NRR.
- Represent Altus at Microsoft events, customer conferences, and partner summits as a confident and credible product spokesperson.
About you
You are someone who naturally takes ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing tasks. You combine strong product judgement with a disciplined approach to testing assumptions before engineering time is committed, and you work with initiative and independence.
What you’ll bring
- Deep, demonstrable expertise in project, programme, or portfolio management.
- At least 5 years of product management experience in enterprise B2B environments, with evidence of commercial impact rather than only feature delivery.
- Proven ability to lead a product through discovery, launch, and post-launch improvement in an agile setting.
- Regular use of AI tools for research, prototyping, and decision-making support.
- Strong analytical thinking, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus experience with the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem, LLM integration, or partner-led go-to-market approaches.
Equal opportunity and culture
Altus values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunity. The company aims to maintain a respectful workplace that welcomes people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
