About Qantas

Qantas, founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, has become Australia’s largest airline group across regional, domestic and international travel. Role overview

This is a fixed-term full-time opportunity to join the People Digital team at Qantas Head Office in Mascot, with the assignment running until August 2027. The role is suited to someone who enjoys combining digital product support, stakeholder collaboration and practical problem-solving to improve the employee experience.

As a Product Advisor, you will help deliver the People Digital strategy by keeping key systems working effectively and supporting product improvements across the Qantas Group. The position is highly customer-focused and acts as a subject matter resource for People Digital products, working closely with business teams and support functions, including HR Business Partners, People Services and People Support.

What you will do

  • Provide complete operational support for People Digital applications such as Zendesk, Workday, SmartRecruiters and Whispr.
  • Handle first-response Tier 2 support for system-function questions, including receiving, assessing and routing issues to Tier 3 support where needed.
  • Build working relationships with functional owners, product managers and business stakeholders to carry out analysis as required.
  • Support the gathering of business requirements, document proposed changes and help coordinate stakeholder approvals.
  • Track, review and improve digital processes and effectiveness to strengthen the employee experience.

What you will bring

  • Relevant tertiary study in Business, Human Resources, IT or a related area is considered an advantage.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Workday.
  • Background in product development or support for digital applications.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once and work effectively with stakeholders across global teams.
  • Experience with full-cycle testing and regression testing, including defect recording.
  • Exposure to help desk ticket triage and issue resolution.
  • Technical familiarity with HRIS, ATS and/or LMS platforms, ideally at super-user level.
  • A strong service mindset supported by excellent interpersonal skills.

Why join Qantas

Qantas encourages creativity and passion, and offers opportunities to build a career across many different directions. Learning and development are supported from day one through on-the-job coaching and formal training options.

Employee benefits

  • Discounted air travel for you, your family and friends within Australia and internationally, plus special offers on accommodation and holidays.
  • Flexible leave choices, including paid parental leave of 18 weeks, superannuation contributions on both paid and unpaid parental leave until the child turns 1, and purchased leave options for eligible employees.
  • Access to a broad rewards network with discounts on shopping, food and wine, insurance, health and wellbeing, leisure and entertainment, plus salary packaging options for motor vehicles, eligible portable electronic devices and professional memberships.
  • Wellbeing support, including tools to support mental health, an interactive wellbeing app and a personalised nutrition plan.
