What this role does
Probation Officers assist the court with sentencing and supervision of people subject to court orders. The position also supports offender rehabilitation by serving as an active change agent, delivering evidence-based programming, completing validated risk assessments, encouraging behaviour change, and connecting clients with agencies and services that can address criminogenic needs. The role works closely with case managers and clients in correctional facilities and helps manage the transition of inmates into community supervision.
