직무 설명
Role overview
A Band 5 Physiotherapist is needed to join a supportive community stroke rehabilitation service. This position is suited to someone with enthusiasm for stroke recovery, a collaborative mindset, and a strong commitment to improving patients’ day-to-day function and independence.
The team delivers specialist, multidisciplinary rehabilitation for adults after stroke in community settings. Treatment is focused on clear goals and is time-limited, with input delivered in patients’ homes and other suitable environments when needed.
The post sits within a pathway that works closely with colleagues from hospital services and third-sector partners to support people from inpatient care through to life back at home. The service is also introducing a new, more intensive rehabilitation pathway to help people leave hospital earlier.
Key duties and working style
You will work alongside occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, dietitians, nurses, therapy assistant practitioners and rehabilitation assistants. The role also involves supporting unregistered colleagues and offering advice and guidance to wider MDT members.
The successful applicant will use strong clinical judgement, evidence-based practice and a person-centred approach. Weekend work is part of the rota.
Development and team support
This role offers the chance to grow specialist expertise in stroke rehabilitation while working in a friendly multidisciplinary team. You will also have access to mentorship, routine clinical supervision and training opportunities, along with the chance to contribute to service improvement and leadership development.
