Optometrist

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and licensed optometrist to become part of a growing eye care practice in Dubai. The role involves delivering high-quality vision care, carrying out eye assessments, identifying vision issues, and helping patients choose appropriate corrective solutions. The right candidate should bring strong clinical knowledge, a patient-focused approach, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive routine eye examinations.
• Evaluate visual acuity, peripheral vision, and hand-eye coordination.
• Detect and diagnose vision concerns such as myopia and color blindness.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and relevant medications when needed.
• Keep patient medical records complete and up to date.
• Educate patients on good eye care habits and preventive practices.
• Assess eye abnormalities and conditions, including those linked to diabetes and liver disease.
• Document diagnoses, treatment plans, referrals, and therapeutic prescriptions accurately.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) qualification is required.
• Applicants must hold a valid state-issued O.D./optometry license.
• At least 2 years of experience working as an optometrist is required.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication abilities are essential.
• Solid understanding of eye disorders, diseases, and treatment approaches.
• A service-oriented mindset along with strong analytical ability is important.

This is an on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
