Mold Spotter

Position Summary

SyBridge Technologies is hiring a Mold Spotter to carry out spotting activities and support mold making operations. This role reports to the Mold Making Leader and requires a constant focus on safety, product quality, and meeting the allotted time for each assigned job.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and adjust components so parts fit correctly, including slides and jibs.
• Use a surface grinder as part of mold spotting work.
• Hand-finish mating surfaces with air grinding tools to achieve a precise seal.
• Work with hydraulic systems and related equipment.
• Carry out handwork such as fitting master pockets and stoning parting lines.
• Complete minor welding tasks when needed.
• Recognize material characteristics, including flashpoint considerations.
• Follow customer-specific standards and quality expectations.
• Assemble and disassemble molds.
• Safely operate an overhead crane.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is mandatory.
• Understanding of mold function, including undercut and crash conditions, is required.
• Must be able to stay effective under pressure and work without close supervision.
• Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines is important.
• Strong commitment to quality and accuracy is expected.
• Excellent attention to detail and solid analytical ability are needed.
• At least 2 years of mold spotting experience is required.
• Prior welding experience will be considered an advantage.
