Mobile Crane Technician

Position Overview

This role focuses on keeping mobile cranes safe, reliable, and ready for work through regular servicing, fault-finding, repairs, and inspections. The technician will work on ensuring the crane fleet operates efficiently while meeting required safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, preventive upkeep, and corrective repairs on mobile cranes, with attention to hydraulic and electrical components.
• Inspect equipment to confirm adherence to safety rules and operational compliance.
• Help design and apply maintenance plans and routines that improve fleet performance and extend equipment life.
• Support and mentor junior technicians when they need help with complex service or repair tasks.
• Read and apply technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to identify and resolve faults.
• Deliver technical assistance and carry out field repairs for customers on site.
• Keep detailed and accurate documentation of all maintenance work and repairs completed.
• Follow safety procedures and work practices at all times.

Qualifications

• A technical diploma or certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or an equivalent related discipline.
• At least 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with mobile cranes or similar heavy equipment.
• Well-developed troubleshooting ability, especially with hydraulic systems.
