Role overview
An early-stage deep tech portfolio company is looking for a Senior Robotics Engineer to take ownership of its robotics architecture and help build autonomous systems for large-scale outdoor operations.
This position sits at the center of the robotics stack, with responsibility for designing the control and orchestration layers that support both single-robot and multi-robot fleet operations in complex, changing, and unstructured environments. You will collaborate closely with the computer vision team, AI engineers, and the founder/CEO.
The role is based in-office five days a week and also includes field deployment as part of the work.
Requirements
The company is seeking someone with strong robotics and controls expertise, plus a track record of delivering autonomous systems in real production environments.
- Hands-on depth with ROS (Robot Operating System), preferably applied to aerial or mobile robotics
- Solid background in control engineering
- Degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or electronic engineering
- Experience taking autonomous systems from development into production
- Ability to independently manage a complex robotics stack with minimal oversight
- Experience deploying robots dependably in outdoor, unstructured settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of drone autonomy, aerial robotics, or related deep tech areas is an advantage
