About the Internship
This opportunity offers hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, involving design, prototype development, product testing, and collaboration with manufacturing teams. Interns will engage in designing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using advanced CAD software, interpreting engineering drawings, and preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs). They will also participate in root cause analysis, design improvements, quality compliance, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical systems, while contributing to new product development projects alongside cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Create mechanical designs for components, assemblies, and systems leveraging CAD tools.
- Interpret and prepare engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Develop prototypes and assist in product validation and testing processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to streamline product development.
- Conduct root cause analysis and apply design enhancements.
- Ensure all designs meet quality standards and engineering criteria.
- Support mechanical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Perform design reviews and suggest cost-efficient engineering solutions.
- Maintain precise documentation and project reporting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be available for a full-time, on-site internship.
- Must be able to begin between August 3, 2026, and September 7, 2026.
- Availability for a 6-month internship tenure is required.
- Candidates should possess relevant skills and a keen interest in mechanical engineering topics.
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program.
Additional Requirements
- Academic qualifications: BTech, Diploma, Polytechnic, or BSc in mechanical engineering or related fields such as refrigeration, thermal engineering, production, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with cold storage and refrigeration system design is essential.
- Understanding key components like compressors, evaporators, condensers, cooling coils, insulation, and airflow management.
- Competence in mechanical design for portable boxes, fabricated structures, and integration systems.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication techniques including sheet metal work, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling is preferred.
- A hands-on mindset and eagerness to participate in prototype development activities.

Compensation and Benefits
