Role overview
This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in Doha, Qatar. The employer is Minor Hotels, an international hospitality group with a broad portfolio of more than 530 properties across over 50 countries in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America.
What the job involves
The mason will carry out preventive maintenance tasks according to the hotel’s maintenance plan. The role also includes cleaning work areas thoroughly after completing tasks, handling hotel-issued tools carefully, and storing and returning them properly at the end of the shift.
The position also requires active support for the hotel’s energy-saving initiatives, along with contributing practical cost-reduction ideas whenever possible, including suggestions beyond the Engineering Department.
Qualifications
Candidates should have formal documented training from a technical or vocational institute. At least one year of experience working in the engineering department of a hotel is required. A solid understanding of civil work or masonry is also necessary.
