Marketing Analyst

Role overview

The Marketing Analyst will help shape strategy and execution by turning market, customer, and competitor information into clear business insights. This position is based in Zambia and follows an on-site full-time working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and interpret information on markets and competitors to support strategic planning and execution.
• Assist with weekly and monthly forecasting as well as demand planning activities.
• Track pricing trends and analyze margin performance across both domestic and export markets.
• Take ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly performance tracking and reporting for country and group-level reporting.
• Conduct customer and segment analysis to guide both strategic and operational decisions.
• Design and execute a strong data approach that includes automation and modeling.

Education and experience

• A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in business, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• At least 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

Required skills and behaviours

• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MySQL.
• Advanced capability in Power BI.
• Working understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislation affecting the cement manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with the company’s products and service portfolio.
• Well-developed administrative skills with strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to use technology effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound problem-solving ability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
