Role Summary

Alliance Animal Health is looking for a motivated and team-oriented Manager of Learning & Development to help execute meaningful learning initiatives across the business. This position supports a culture of continuous learning and contributes to stronger performance, employee retention, and leadership development across hospital teams and central support groups.

You will work closely with the Vice President of Learning & Development on Central Support Team programs and broader strategic efforts, while also collaborating with the Senior Manager of Learning & Development on the creation and delivery of engaging training experiences. The role helps equip Practice Managers, Client Service Representatives, and other hospital-facing employees with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to perform well and provide outstanding service to clients and patients.

This position also supports onboarding, career growth pathways, and operational excellence through practical learning solutions that can be used at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the creation, rollout, and ongoing improvement of learning programs for Central Support Teams, Practice Managers, and Client Service Representatives.
  • Work with the Vice President of Learning & Development to carry out strategic training efforts centered on performance, retention, and leadership growth.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Learning & Development to build and deliver training that is relevant to each clinic’s business needs.
  • Help design and implement onboarding experiences for Practice Managers and Client Service Representatives so new hires get a strong and consistent start.
  • Lead virtual and in-person workshops, training sessions, and learning events.
  • Create and maintain blended learning materials, including e-learning content, facilitator-led training, and supporting job aids or resources.
  • Collaborate with leaders across functions to identify training needs and shape scalable development solutions.
  • Assist with program coordination, logistics, and learner engagement across multiple initiatives.
  • Collect data, assess training results, and review learner feedback to improve learning programs over time.
  • Support a learning environment that promotes growth, engagement, career advancement, and retention.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, or a related area.
  • Experience in a veterinary practice, healthcare setting, or other service-driven environment is strongly preferred.
  • Background in training front-line leaders and customer-facing employees is preferred.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to connect with varied adult learner audiences.
  • Experience with instructional design and e-learning tools such as Articulate, Rise, Canva, Flipbook, or LMS platforms is an advantage.
  • Well-developed organization and project management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working with colleagues across different teams and levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel from time to time for onsite training and collaboration.
