Role overview
Etihad is hiring a UAE national with a background in international affairs to support its Aeropolitical team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on protecting and advancing the airline’s traffic rights and broader aeropolitical interests through analysis, coordination, representation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key accountabilities
- Build detailed analyses and briefing notes for lobby meetings and consultations that strengthen Etihad Airways’ position on traffic rights.
- Review draft Air Services Agreements and related aeropolitical material to safeguard and improve the interests of the UAE and Etihad.
- Gather and share important intelligence on regulatory changes, policy shifts, and other developments in foreign markets that may affect Etihad’s aeropolitical priorities.
- Attend air services consultations, as well as regional and international aviation seminars and conferences when directed, to represent and protect Etihad’s interests.
- Create and nurture aeropolitical relationships that can positively influence the airline’s traffic rights objectives.
- Respond to internal queries and provide clear guidance on aeropolitical matters across Etihad entities.
- Handle special assignments and aeropolitical initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Political Science, International Affairs, or a closely related discipline. Candidates should bring 5 years of experience in international relations and/or regulatory matters, along with strong written and spoken communication skills in both Arabic and English.
