About the role
An opportunity is available with a major Energy, Oil & Gas organisation for an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to build and keep integrated schedules that help deliver maintenance and operational work safely and efficiently. This contract runs until December 2026 and is based in Perth CBD.
You will work alongside Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Project teams to make sure scheduling supports business priorities, available resources, and day-to-day operating needs.
Key responsibilities
- Create, update, and improve combined maintenance and operational schedules.
- Coordinate planning and scheduling tasks across several teams and stakeholders.
- Track schedule progress and flag risks, limitations, and opportunities to improve.
- Support planned maintenance work and operational programs.
- Make sure schedules match resource availability and shifting business priorities.
- Prepare schedule summaries, progress reports, and performance measures.
- Take part in planning discussions and schedule reviews.
- Help improve planning and work management processes.
- Follow organisational procedures, systems, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Proven background in a scheduling position within heavy industry, manufacturing, energy, resources, utilities, or a similar operational setting.
- Good knowledge of maintenance planning and work management practices.
- Hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as SAP, Microsoft Project, Primavera 6 (P6), or comparable software.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a busy operational environment.
- Strong analytical ability, with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
