Maintenance Planning Manager

Role overview

This part-time, on-site position in Dubai is focused on organizing and coordinating maintenance work so that assets remain dependable and downtime stays low. The role sits within a facilities and maintenance environment and requires close day-to-day coordination across internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

You will create preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, prepare detailed work orders, and ensure the right people, tools, and materials are assigned according to priority. The role also includes reviewing maintenance requests, checking scope and urgency, and working with technicians, facility managers, and vendors to complete work on time.

In addition, you will maintain accurate maintenance logs, asset histories, and equipment documentation in the maintenance management system. You will monitor performance measures such as backlog levels, response times, and completion rates, while also supporting budgeting, cost control, safety, compliance, and ongoing process improvements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have strong skills in maintenance planning and scheduling, including hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs as well as work order handling. Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar platform is important for keeping records accurate and up to date.

A solid understanding of building systems, equipment, and facilities operations is expected, preferably in commercial, financial, or corporate settings. You should also be comfortable managing stakeholders, coordinating technicians, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, and using data to spot trends and recommend improvements.

Strong organization and time management are needed to balance multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment. Clear English communication is required, while Arabic is considered an advantage. The role also calls for a strong commitment to health, safety, environmental standards, and applicable compliance requirements.

Candidates must be able to work on-site in Dubai on a part-time basis and collaborate effectively in a diverse and inclusive team.

Education

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
