Role overview
A renewable energy platform is seeking a commercially sharp M&A professional to drive divestment and transaction activity across APAC. The position is centered on front-end deal work, including finding buyers, running asset sale processes, and closing transactions for renewable energy and battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolios.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full divestment cycle for renewable and energy storage assets at development, construction, and operating stages.
- Identify, approach, and engage potential purchasers such as infrastructure funds, IPPs, and strategic buyers.
- Develop and sustain relationships with active investors across major APAC markets.
- Own transactions from early market outreach through signing and completion.
- Coordinate due diligence activities across financial, legal, and technical workstreams.
- Lead commercial discussions on valuation, pricing, and core deal terms.
- Create strong investment cases and equity narratives tailored to each asset.
- Convert technical project features into persuasive investment opportunities.
- Shape exit approaches based on market conditions, buyer demand, and revenue profile.
- Track investor behavior, pricing movements, and transaction structures in the market.
- Continuously monitor and map active investors across the APAC renewables ecosystem.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy M&A, project sales, investment banking, or commercial roles within an IPP.
- Demonstrated success in closing asset transactions, with sell-side exposure preferred.
- Strong commercial judgment and the confidence to work directly with investors and progress deals independently.
- Good understanding of renewable energy and BESS project economics, including key value drivers.
- Ability to build financial models.
- Experience in Australia or Southeast Asia is an added advantage.
- Profile should be commercial, proactive, and strongly focused on execution.
- Comfortable in a client-facing, investor-led environment.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to run transactions on your own.
- Clear communicator with strong cross-cultural awareness.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Singapore. The role is specifically focused on APAC M&A for renewables and energy storage assets.
