Role overview
The Logistics Support Coordinator will handle order fulfillment coordination, customer portal management, customs clearance support, and logistics cost tracking. Based in the Markham, Ontario office, this person will act as the local logistics and supply chain point of contact, working closely with Territory Sales Specialists, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global Headquarters. The role suits someone with a strong customer service mindset, knowledge of international trade, and the ability to juggle several priorities in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities
- Manage fulfillment activities for major accounts and keep customer portals such as CTC and BRP up to date so orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Track, validate, and review logistics expenses such as freight, customs duties, brokerage charges, and repacking costs to maintain cost control and accuracy.
- Provide responsive customer support by handling inquiries, processing purchase orders, solving issues, and arranging shipment releases.
- Support Territory Sales Specialists with promotions, customer programs, pricing updates, and credit or debit transactions.
- Assist Accounts Receivable efforts by helping with collections, reconciliations, and payment-related customer questions.
- Coordinate import and export customs clearance work, including preparing, checking, and maintaining export records and compliance documents.
- Compile and share monthly operating and business reports for the General Manager of Niterra Canada and Global Headquarters, and respond to ad hoc information requests.
- Work as the main contact for Canadian logistics providers such as Purolator to support transport efficiency, delivery performance, and issue resolution.
- Serve as the local logistics and supply chain resource in the Markham office, helping connect Nippon Express operations, internal forecasting, and the Niterra Supply Chain team.
- Review and reconcile GST information by retrieving and checking records from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
- Maintain accurate files, records, and system information to support compliance, operational effectiveness, and audits.
- Partner with teams across Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Global Headquarters to support business goals and continuous improvement.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including IATF, ISO, ISMS, TISAX, QMS, J-Sox, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service, order management, logistics, international trade, freight forwarding, or a related operational setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, numerical aptitude, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced ability with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, especially Excel with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools, as well as SAP and customer portal platforms.
- Comfortable communicating by phone, email, virtual meetings, and face-to-face discussions.
- Working understanding of international trade rules, customs compliance, Incoterms, freight documentation, and global shipping processes.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and meet tight deadlines consistently.
- Strong service orientation and the ability to build productive business relationships.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of cross-functional teams while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Meets the stated physical requirements, including corrected vision and hearing, verbal communication, keyboard use, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to drive, and willingness to travel.
- Work conditions include normal office-related hazards and normal travel-related hazards.
