Role Overview

The Logistics Specialist will manage shipment and logistics workflows independently, making sure goods and services move on schedule, stay within budget, and meet all compliance requirements. The role focuses on supporting business needs and operational deadlines through effective coordination and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the full shipment cycle, from planning and scheduling through paperwork, customs clearance, insurance handling, and final delivery, while meeting agreed service levels and timelines.
  • Check, confirm, and reconcile shipping and delivery documents submitted by suppliers, freight partners, clearing agents, and insurers, and resolve any mismatches while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a main liaison for internal teams such as local logistics, Commercial, and Finance, as well as external parties including forwarders, clearing agents, insurers, and suppliers, to resolve issues and reduce operational risk.
  • Monitor item requests and shipment progress, and ensure logistics actions match business priorities, stock requirements, and distribution plans.
  • Compile regular logistics reports and operational summaries for management, including shipment progress, potential risks, and improvement areas.
  • Spot repeated delays, process gaps, or inefficiencies in logistics workflows and recommend corrective actions to improve accuracy, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
  • Keep the database of local, regional, and international forwarders and suppliers current, while reviewing service quality and data accuracy.
  • Ensure all logistics work follows company policies, operating procedures, conduct standards, and relevant local and international laws.
  • Support audits and internal checks by providing accurate shipment records, logistics data, and supporting documentation when needed.
