Light Duty Cleaner

Overview

High Point Inn & Suites Peace River is seeking a dedicated Light Duty Cleaner to join their team in Peace River, Alberta. This is a full-time, onsite position within the hotel, motel, and resort industry. The role involves a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
• Dust and clean furniture, surfaces, and fixtures.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• Make beds, change linens, and restock guest rooms with fresh towels and toiletries.
• Organize and stock linen closets.
• Clean and disinfect common areas, including elevators and operating rooms.
• Manage and report any lost and found items.
• Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or services.
• Provide basic information about hotel facilities to guests.
• Remove debris and empty trash receptacles throughout the property.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings as needed.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• No specific degree, certificate, or diploma is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and handle physically demanding work, including lifting heavy loads.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Proficiency in English is required.
