Role overview
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker to help keep linens and personal garments clean, organized, and ready for use in a long-term care setting. This position supports a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors, while contributing to the organization’s commitment to service quality and community care.
Pay
The starting pay is USD 13.00 per hour.

Key duties
- Gather, separate, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and resident clothing.
- Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep track of laundry work and alert a supervisor to any safety or maintenance concerns.
- Follow infection prevention standards and universal precautions to maintain a clean environment.
- Communicate courteously with residents, staff, and guests while delivering strong service.
- Handle other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and expectations
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior laundry or similar experience is an advantage, but not required.
- A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership are important.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is necessary.
- The role requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for long periods.
- You must be comfortable working around cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and complete repetitive routine tasks each day is required.
- Residence within the service area is required.
