Role overview
Vasona Creek Healthcare Center is looking for a dependable, detail-focused Laundry Aide to join the team on a full-time basis in Los Gatos, CA. This position plays an important part in supporting a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.
What the job involves
In this role, you will handle the day-to-day cleaning of facility linens and residents’ personal clothing. Items must be cleaned carefully, managed properly, and returned on time.
Key duties
- Gather, separate, wash, dry, fold, and deliver linens and resident clothing
- Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and effective way
- Work in line with infection prevention and safety procedures
- Keep the laundry work area clean, orderly, and organized
- Spot damaged items or equipment problems and report them promptly
- Make sure residents’ personal belongings are labeled and handled correctly
Schedule
- This is a full-time position
- Availability to work weekends may be needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping is preferred, and experience in a healthcare environment is an advantage
- Ability to understand directions and work with limited supervision
- Good organization and strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift, push, and pull laundry carts and supplies
- Dependable, with the ability to function in a busy, fast-moving setting
Compensation and benefits
Pay starts at $18 to $19 per hour, depending on experience. The role also includes a full-time benefits package, a supportive team culture, and opportunities for advancement within the organization.
