Company Profile
Majd Yanbu Industrial Company is a joint venture formed by Elsewedy Cables and Alfanar Electrical Systems. The company is developing a modern copper rod manufacturing plant in Yanbu Industrial City with an annual production capacity of 120,000 MT. As the site moves toward commercial operations, it is seeking a practical, hands-on IT Technical Support Specialist to establish and run the IT environment from the ground up.
This role offers the chance to contribute to a greenfield industrial project and influence the full technology stack for a new-age manufacturing facility.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will support the design, rollout, and ongoing management of the company’s IT systems across office and plant operations. The position combines infrastructure, applications, user support, and IT/OT coordination responsibilities in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be responsible for building and supporting core IT services, maintaining secure and reliable connectivity, administering business applications, and assisting with operational technology integration for the production environment.
- Plan, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall setups for both office and factory areas.
- Administer the Odoo ERP platform across finance, HR/payroll, procurement, inventory, sales, and manufacturing functions.
- Oversee the Microsoft 365 E5 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Assist with IT/OT integration for the CCR production line, furnaces, and utilities, including connectivity between SCADA systems and plant ERP.
- Set up endpoint security controls, patching processes, backup and disaster recovery measures, and support compliance with NCA ECC requirements.
- Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, track IT assets, and keep technical records and documentation current.
- Coordinate with vendors, handle IT purchasing and budgeting, and support infrastructure initiatives from data center preparation through to go-live.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 3 to 5 years of practical IT support experience is expected, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP administration is important; exposure to Odoo is preferred, while SAP or Oracle experience is an added advantage.
- Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy is needed.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls, along with Windows Server administration, is essential.
- Understanding of SCADA, PLC, and HMI networking, as well as IT/OT segregation, will be a strong plus.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, ITIL, or Microsoft 365 Certified are beneficial.
