Role overview
A major global law firm is looking for an IT Support Specialist to strengthen its team in Singapore. The role is focused on hands-on user support, workstation and device maintenance, conference room assistance, and day-to-day troubleshooting across a professional services environment.
What you will do
- Handle incoming help desk requests and resolve issues related to hardware, software, phones, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Act as second-line support for technical problems and escalate more complex cases to senior technicians when required.
- Provide desk-side and on-site support, including workstation setups and teardowns, office relocations, printer and scanner troubleshooting, and general user support.
- Install, configure, and keep desktops, laptops, and communication/phone equipment running through standard deployment procedures.
- Investigate wireless connectivity issues and coordinate repairs with external vendors when needed.
- Support meeting rooms and audiovisual systems, including preparation for in-person and video conferencing sessions.
- Track equipment changes, movements, additions, and removals, and keep inventory and related records up to date.
- Work with HR and Facilities on ergonomic equipment support when workstation assessments call for it.
- Join pilot groups and support quality checks for system builds, application rollouts, and updates.
- Monitor laptop and application performance using user experience monitoring tools and address issues proactively.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and experience
Applicants should bring at least 2 years of practical IT support experience. Strong working knowledge of Windows, including Windows 11, and Microsoft Office 2016 or newer is required. The role also calls for excellent written and spoken English, plus the ability to operate in a bilingual work setting. Candidates should be comfortable with overtime and schedule adjustments based on training and coverage requirements.
Additional strengths include experience working in smaller teams with broad technical exposure, a solid grasp of networking basics such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS, prior work in a law firm or professional services setting, and familiarity with Windows Server 2012/2016 or similar environments.
Additional information
Compensation for this position is 4,000 to 6,000 SGD per month. This is a full-time, onsite role in Singapore.
