Role Overview

We are hiring a seasoned Desktop Support Engineer for a six-month technology refresh initiative. The assignment centers on preparing, imaging, and rolling out Windows 10 computers while supporting broader service desk activities.

Working Details

Shift timing is 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM LT, Monday through Friday.

English and German are both required for this role. Candidates must be German nationals.

Hardware Refresh Project

This position supports the introduction of new IT equipment across the department through project-based service desk tasks.

  • Accept incoming computer deliveries, record them in the asset management system, unbox the machines, and prepare them by creating images with SCCM before moving them to the inventory area and updating records.
  • Coordinate customer intake appointments to catalog physical items such as docks, monitors, and printers, and ensure software and data are backed up ahead of deployment.
  • Set up new computers with tools such as Druva for backup, OneDrive, and standard configuration checklists.
  • Roll out computers to nearby users or send them to remote users using UPS shipping.
  • Collect old devices from users for recovery.
  • Erase hard drives, clear out returned equipment, and manage surplus hardware.
  • Keep precise records of hardware failures, repairs, installations, and removals, and send daily deployment progress reports, including issues and feedback, to the project manager.

Additional IT Support Responsibilities
